DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME ENDS

Remember to move your clocks BACKWARD one hour before you go to bed SATURDAY NIGHT, November 1st. Otherwise, you will be early for church on Sunday morning, November 2nd!

MYF NEWS:

Post-Patch Clean-up from 2:30-approx. 5:00pm. If you have a truck and/or flatbed trailer, please bring it to help haul off pallets! Please wear clothing you don’t mind getting dirty. Bring your work gloves. Bring a change of clothing for MYF if you want to. We also have MYF this Sunday from 5:00-7:00pm. Next Sunday, November 9th, we will have our Family Fun Night. More details will be in next week’s bulletin and will also be updated on Facebook, Twitter, and through our weekly email!

HEALING SERVICE Sunday

Join Pastor Missy Sunday at 12pm in Rm. 118. This will be a brief time of quiet prayer and anointing with oil. The service is a “come and go” format, so you are welcome to come and stay as long as you would like. Childcare is available.

WOMEN’S RETREAT

Mark your calendars & call your friends!! Retreat is scheduled for Jan. 16 & 17 at Highland Lakes Camp/Conf. Center on beautiful Lake Travis. Official registration will begin soon.

OPERATION BACKPACK:
Fill the pantry! Operation Backpack is a new food outreach ministry that FUMC is partnering with Gruene UMC which targets food insecurity in our local student population. The students we serve are enrolled in the meal assistance program at their schools, but often do not have sufficient food in the home for the weekends. The backpacks are filled with food and delivered to the local schools on a weekly basis. As we begin this ministry, please help us FILL THE PANTRY through the month of Nov.! Grab one of our FUMC shopping bags at church and then take it with you the next time you go to the grocery store. Each bag has a list of items needed: choose one, several, or all items! Then return it to our collection bin at the church any Sunday in November. (If you’re interested in volunteering or would like more information, contact Janet Tabler at 830-632-5587 or janet.tabler24@gmail.com).

COLLEGE-CARE:
This Christmas we’d love to send currently enrolled college students a Christmas card from the church. If you have a currently enrolled college student whom we could send a card to, please email: bridget@fumcnb.org with their full name and college mailing address. The deadline to get us addresses will be Sunday, December 7th.

TRUE VINEYARD MARKETPLACE
November 9th! Get a jump start on your Christmas shopping on Sunday, Nov. 9! True Vineyard Marketplace will be set up in Wesley Hall throughout the morning selling unique, high-quality, fair trade products. The designers and artisans of these goods are Africans: widows, individuals from orphan-headed households, or other artists in vulnerable communities who are working hard to break the cycle of poverty through their artistic talent. All proceeds go to support True Vineyard Ministries. Come SHOP FOR GOOD!!

SANCTUARY REMODEL BEGINNING SOON…
The Sanctuary remodel will be starting the first of the year. While the work is being done, we will be holding all services in Wesley Hall. There will be opportunities for you all to help each week by setting up Wesley Hall for Sunday services and tearing down after the 11 service is complete. As the time approaches, we will have more specific dates. Thank you all for your patience and help during this time of renewal to the Sanctuary.
