ANNOUNCEMENTS

UPDATED – June 18, 2020
Dear Church Family,
After much thought, prayer, and counsel, the pastors and church leaders have decided to NOT open for onsite worship this Sunday, June 21.
This decision was not made lightly. We are monitoring the trends in the infection rate locally.
Hays, Bexar, Comal and Guadalupe Counties are reporting the highest percentage increase in Infection rate for COVID-19. Click here to view trends chart from Texas DSHS.
Like you, we are greatly disappointed that we cannot meet together for onsite
worship. Please continue to worship with us online in this manner until we feel safe to resume onsite worship. We will keep you informed.
My friends we are praying for all of you. We love you and we miss you. Please stay safe.
Remember the Apostle Paul’s words that mark a true Christian. Romans 12:10-13 “Love one another with mutual affection; outdo one another in showing honor. Do not lag in zeal, be ardent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints and extend hospitality to strangers.”
God bless,
Pastor Jason and Church Staff

Dear Friends,
Amid the COVID-19 Pandemic, Texas State Gov. Greg Abbott is allowing retail stores, malls, restaurants, and theaters to open on Friday, May 1, 2020, and limit occupancy to 25%.
Please note: First United Methodist Church New Braunfels WILL NOT resume regular worship at this time.
The COVID-19 Pandemic is still with us. The risk is too great and the danger is too real.
We will resume regular worship and activities when it is safe for large groups to gather. We will let you know when the time comes. If you know someone that does not have email or internet, please reach out and give them this information.
Our response should never be self-centered. As believers in Jesus let us remember the words of the Apostle Paul in Philippians 2:3-4 “Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility regard others as better than yourselves. Let each of you look not to your own interest, but to the interest of others.”
We miss you all and look forward to seeing all of you whole and healthy when the time is safe.
God bless,
Pastor Jason and Church Leadership
