Sunday School

Sunday School classes are the foundation of our Adult Ministries. We have two Sunday School hours, 9:45 and 11 am. If you are visiting with us for the first time, feel free to check out this list of our current classes..

Please contact Karen Andrews with any questions you may have.

Small Groups

Many Christ-followers prefer the casual and intimate setting of a small group. Small groups are typically longer in length, so members can get to know one another on a deeper level.

First United Methodist Church New Braunfels hosts several small groups, so if you are interested in knowing more, joining an existing group, or starting your own small group, please contact Karen Andrews.

Come, Wade, Dive

We are currently in between Come, Wade, Dive events. Check back here for our next available opportunity to take part in this enriching experience!

Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministry is the one-to-one lay caring ministry that takes place in congregations that use the Stephen Series system.

Stephen Ministry congregations equip and empower lay caregivers—called Stephen Ministers—to provide high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to people who are hurting.

If you would like to know more about becoming a Stephen Minister or feel like you could benefit from visiting with a Stephen Minister, please contact the church office or Karen Andrews.

United Methodist Women

A worldwide organization with nearly 1-million members, United Methodist Women seek to know God and to make life better for women, children, youth and marginalized neighbors in the ever-expanding global village of today’s world.

Members raise up to $20 million each year for programs and projects related to women, children and youth in the United States and in more than 100 countries around the world.

The First United Methodist Church New Braunfels general meeting usually takes place on the first Tuesday of the month at 9:00am in the Assembly Room (Room 118). Circle meetings are third Tuesdays at 9:30am and 2:00pm.

Shawl Ministry

The Shawl Ministry of First United Methodist Church New Braunfels is a group of ladies who knit or crochet prayer shawls for those who are going through difficult times. The group meets on the second Tuesday of the month (except the summer months) at 2 pm in the Parlor at FUMC. Finished shawls are blessed with prayers before they are distributed.

Please contact Karen Andrews if you would like to be a part of this ministry.
