Enabling today’s youth to be tomorrow’s Christian leaders
Our Youth Ministry serves grades 6-12 and provides events and programming to help foster spiritual growth and equip students to be Disciples of Christ now and after they graduate.
In all that we do, we strive for a Christ-centered environment in which we LIVE out our faith to each other through love, respectful interaction, love, FUN, and more love!

First United Methodist Church New Braunfels offers a combined Sunday School class specifically for our youth ages 6th – 12th grades.
The class meets in the loft area of Wesley Hall in room 202, and is available at 11:00 am.
Methodist Youth Fellowship is a time for our youth to gather to hear the Word of God, play games together, catch up from the week, and get to know one another better. We eat a meal together and then divide up into groups for the lesson. This is a casual and fun atmosphere for kids and parents alike.
MYF meets Sundays 5:00pm-7:00pm in Wesley Hall
We are always looking for volunteers! We need adults to help make meals for our youth each week. You don’t have to be a youth parent to participate. Submit the contact form below for more info!
Although confirmation is not a sacrament in The United Methodist Church, it is an important marker along our spiritual journeys. In the United Methodist Church, children are baptized as infants by their parents. Confirmation is a time to understand the faith and vows they were baptized into as infants. Confirmands are instructed on the fullness of what that baptism means and decide for themselves to take on the responsibilities of their own faith. After Confirmation, confirmands have the opportunity to become full members of the local church in their own right.
At First United Methodist Church New Braunfels, youth in 8th grade and older are eligible for our confirmation class. Submit the contact form below for more details.
RIVER CITY WORK CAMP is led by our High School youth and volunteers to specifically give Middle and High School youth (incoming 6th grade through completed 12th grade) an opportunity to make a real difference in our community. Middle and high schoolers spend the week working on a local low-income housing project, learning, worshipping, and fellowshipping together. Volunteers are always needed for this camp, so please get in touch with us by using the contact form below if you are interested.
This year RCWC will be teaming up with the Sleep In Heavenly Peace to build and install beds for area residents. The middle and high schoolers will be able to use their hands and hearts to contribute. We will be traveling to the San Antonio chapter daily, to assemble and install beds for children in need. What a wonderful life skill. Check out https://www.shpbeds.org/ to learn more about this experience.
