Enabling today’s youth to be tomorrow’s
Christian leaders

FUMC’s Student Ministry serves grades 6-12 and provides events and programming to help foster spiritual growth and equip students to be Disciples of Christ now and after they graduate.

In all that we do, we strive for a Christ centered environment in which we LIVE out our faith to each other through love, respectful interaction, love, FUN, and more love!

Youth Opportunities

Sunday School

FUMC offers a combined Sunday School class specifically for our youth ages 6th – 12th grade. The class meets in the loft area of Wesley Hall in room 202, and is available at 9:45 and 11 am.

Methodist Youth Fellowship (MYF)

Methodist Youth Fellowship is a time for our youth to gather to hear the Word of God, play games together, catch up from the week, and get to know one another better. We eat a meal together and then divide up into groups for the lesson. This is a casual and fun atmosphere for kids and parents alike.

We are always looking for volunteers!

We need adults to help make meals for our youth each week. You don’t have to be a youth parent to participate! Click on the link to sign up.

Although confirmation is not a sacrament in The United Methodist Church, it is an important marker along our spiritual journeys. In the United Methodist Church, children are baptized as infants by their parents. Confirmation is a time to understand the faith and vows they were baptized into as infants. Confirmands are instructed on the fullness of what that baptism means and decide for themselves to take on the responsibilities of their own faith.  After Confirmation, confirmands have the opportunity to become full members of the local church in their own right.

At FUMC New Braunfels, youth in 8th grade and older are eligible for our confirmation class.

This year’s confirmation time & schedule can be found on the youth calendar or downloaded here.

February 25, 2018
Registration forms are available in the Information Super Hallway and are due by February 12.

Youth Camps
