PURPOSE OF UNITED METHODIST WOMEN
The organized unit of United Methodist Women shall be a community of women
whose PURPOSE is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons
through Jesus Christ; to develop a creative, supportive fellowship; and to expand
concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
Welcome to our United Methodist Women’s webpage!
A worldwide organization with nearly 1-million members, United Methodist Women seek to know God and to make life better for women, children, youth and marginalized neighbors in the ever-expanding global village of today’s world.
The United Methodist Women at First United Methodist Church New Braunfels total over 120 members and meet regularly for fellowship to learn about the needs in our community and around the world and to plan and participate in service projects. In recent years, our giving to local and global missions totals over $15,000, partially funded by our annual rummage sale in August. We also give 2-3 scholarships each year to nursing students through our Christine Brown Scholarship Fund.
