Dear Church,

It is my joy to introduce Pastor Julie Bartle, who will join us as our new Associate Pastor this July. Julie brings a unique combination of pastoral calling and compassionate care, having served as a nurse for eighteen years before answering God’s call to ministry.

Julie, her husband Michael, and their five children are already part of our New Braunfels community. She has been serving as the associate pastor at Gruene United Methodist Church (you might have heard of them!). Several staff and church members have gotten to know her over the past year as we have begun collaborating with Gruene in mission, family, and student ministries. When I told my staff who was coming, they couldn’t believe our luck.

I have had the opportunity to get to know Julie over recent weeks. I see God clearly at work in this appointment and can’t wait to see where God takes us together.

Julie’s first Sunday with us will be July 6th, and we will have a welcome reception at noon.
