Who Can Access Summer Meal Sites?

Kids 18 and under are eligible to access no-cost summer meals from any of the Summer Meal Sites listed. Children do not need to be enrolled in a specific San Antonio Food Bank program to receive a meal. How Does It Work?

At our Summer Meal Sites, no-cost meals are served on-site, congregate style. Grab and go service is not available. Children must be present at the Summer Meal Site in order to receive a meal. Food service times vary depending on site location and are listed on our Summer Meal Sites Map & List. No registration is required.

Comal ISD Summer Lunches

• The San Antonio Food Bank will distribute 10-day meal kits to children ages 18 and under at Startzville Elementary School this summer.
  • Enrollment in Comal ISD schools is not required.
  • Each child will receive a meal box containing 10 breakfasts and 10 lunches. A 50-pound bag of fresh produce, including fruit, will be provided to every household.
  • Distribution times & dates are 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 8; Monday, June 22; Monday, July 13; and Monday, July 27. The school is located at 42111 FM 3159, Canyon Lake.
  • Registration is required.

The Summer Seamless Option (SSO) provides free meals to All children 18 years old and younger at participating sites.

Eligible people over age 18 with disabilities enrolled in a school program may also receive meals at no cost.

Adult meals are available for purchase at the district’s established price of $3.20 for breakfast, and $4.40 for lunch.

All meals must be eaten on site.
