Advent Vespers at Texas Lutheran University
We have an evening trip planned for Friday December 5: to Advent Vespers at TLU in Seguin. We’ll leave from the church about 6:00p.m. and return around 10:30. We’ll plan to travel together in a rental van. Cost is $10 per person to help offset the van rental charges. Register Now

MYF Christmas Party and Gift Exchange
Students, plan to come to the church 5:00-7:00pm on Sunday, December 14th for our annual Christmas Party! We’ll have food, fun & games! Bring your best White Elephant gift ($10 limit). Register Now

Presence of Hope A service for those experiencing sadness, grief, loss, or disappointment during the Christmas season, Friday, December 19 at 6 p.m.

Gingerbread Bash A Christmas party for the whole family with games, singing, and story-telling, December 21, 5 p.m. Register Now

Christmas Eve Wiggle ‘n’ Wonder Join us in Wesley hall at 11:00 a.m. on Christmas Eve for a family-friendly Christmas Eve celebration filled with laughter, music and movement!  This special service is designed for our youngest worshippers (and the young at heart) where wiggles, giggles and joyful noises are all welcome.  We’ll sing carols, hear the Christmas story, and share the wonder of Jesus’s birth together in a relaxed, joy-filled space.  Bring excitement, energy, and your Christmas spirit because at FUMCNB, everyone belongs, wiggles and all!  Wear your Christmas PJs.

Manger Donations: First UMC traditionally collects donations during Advent for several community organizations. This year, as you are able, contribute these items to our Manger Donation collections:

  • November 30 Toys for Family Life Center
  • December 7 Hoodies for First Footing and Blankets for people experiencing homelessness
  • December 14 Snacks for Connections
  • December 21 Hygiene Pantry Items and Diapers and Wipes

Handspun Hope Pop-Up Market: Handspun Hope is an organization that supports women and children in Rwanda. Their market will be set up in our Welcome Center on December 14.
