Local Missions

GAP Packs
This is a food outreach ministry that targets food insecurity in our local student population. The students we serve are enrolled in the meal assistance programs at their schools, but often do not have sufficient food in the home for the weekends. The backpacks are filled towards the end of the week and then delivered to the local schools. The teachers give the backpacks to the students at end of the day to take home. The students bring the backpacks back to their respective schools at the beginning of each week, and the weekly cycle is repeated.

S.O.S. Food Bank
The Spirit of Sharing (S.O.S.) Inc., Food Bank has been in operation since June 1, 1988. We are an ecumenical group of churches and civic groups that have come together to help the needy of New Braunfels. All food distributed is donated and all labor is volunteer. Most of our donations come in as non-perishable food items. However, although we don't solicit money, we also receive monetary donations.
New Braunfels Food Bank
Founded in 2010, the New Braunfels Food Bank is a branch facility of the San Antonio Food Bank. We believe that no child should go to bed hungry, adults should not have to choose between a hot meal and utilities, nor a senior sacrifice medical care for the sake of a meal. Over 7000 food-insecure people served each month. Volunteers needed!

Homespun Hope Marketplace
Homespun Hope Marketplace envisions entire communities freed from poverty.
We pursue this by reaching out to the most vulnerable people in Rwanda and creating environments where they are empowered to live out their full potential at work, home and in their spiritual lives.
As you learn more about us, you will read an incredible story about how God used one woman to step out in faith to help a group of impoverished widows in Rwanda. What has resulted is phenomenal. Lives are changed forever, our team continues to grow and we have developed amazing partners who continually spur us on toward our vision.
