ADULT MINISTRIES
FIRST STEPS This is a quick note to share an opportunity for you. Several times a year, we offer First Steps classes, a unique learning experience designed for those who have recently joined the church or have been attending regularly. These classes are a great way to deepen your understanding of our church’s unique features, theology and how to get involved.
First Steps is a two-week Sunday morning class. The first week delves into the Methodist Church’s theology. The second week explores First UMC, the United Methodist Denomination, and how to get involved.
We typically teach First Steps during one of the services so that you can attend church and class on one trip. After Easter, Pastors Andrew and Theresa will teach the same two classes at different times:
11 a.m. classes with Pastor Andrew
April 7 & April 14
9:45 a.m. classes with Pastor Theresa
April 21 9:45 a.m. & April 28 9:45 a.m.

The weekly meetings include lots of discussion, video and exercises / readings to work on at home. It proves to be a helpful way to begin or move further along the difficult journey of grief. We will have the needed workbooks available; cost is $20 for the materials. Contact Karen Andrews for more information and/or visit griefshare.org for more details.
